Happy Birthday!!!

Tomorrow is my daughter Manora's birthday. Time flies!

I just want the world to know how proud I am of her. She's been through a lot, and she has used her ability to dive deep and do her work to become a beautiful woman, inside and out!

  1. It's mine too, tomorrow, and Teddy Roosevelt's, Sylvia Plath's, and Dylan Thomas', as well as the late Lee Krasner's (Mrs Jackson Pollack) among others.

One day in 1968 I sat at a table at Oberlin in Dascomb Hall where somehow we got on the subject of Birthdays. There were five of us who all had the same day of October 27th: Edd Nylander, David Richmond, Steven Till, Richard Mansfield and I. There are only 365 days to go around, but it seemed a bit unusual.

    Such lovely photo of Manora.

It makes my own celebration a little bigger.
Best Birthday wishes, and best regards.

  2. What I lovely surprise to see this birthday wish for Manora on Bruce's blog.

I, too, am so proud of Manora, my daughter! It was 32 years ago that she came into this world and it was a day of celebration and birth for all three of us (Manora, Bruce and myself).

She has lived her life with a dedication to the truth, both in her own personal journey, as well as the universal. She has an uncanny ability to pierce to core or what is real, in any situation.

I wish her much joy in lightness for the rest of her life.

    Happy Birthday,
    Love,
    Elly

  5. When I was about 6 my father took a beautiful picture of me in front of pink flowering roses. I was so happy! It just thrilled me. I still have that picture, and I always remember it when I think about time with my father.

Recently my parents joined us for a walk at the botanic gardens...I just couldn't help redoing the photo.

    Thanks dad.
